Update 0.0.1 - A "Lite" Shave


Even though I'm (probably) not going to continue working on the game unless I get some reviews in, here are a few fixes I felt were necessary so the game wasn't TOTALLY painful to play... also yes, all the updates are going to have funny names - that way you can refer to them easier.

Also I will admit... part of me making the first release version 0.0.0 was because I knew from EXPERIENCE that there's always some little day 1 update like this. So here we go!

Additions/Changes:

  • Revamped pause menu. The old one was actually a mini application that'd launch and freeze Izcool while it ran... the problem was that then you wouldn't be able to get to Izcool from the taskbar, it wouldn't scale with the screen, and it'd mess up the audio if you had invincibility. This one's nicer.
  • Faster back to menu control, as well as the ability to load a different save without quitting Izcool. Along with the new pause menu, now you can just hit ESC in an area to go back to the title screen. Press it again to go to the save select (which was previously unaccessible unless you closed-then-reopened Izcool). Press it once more to close the game.
  • Redesigned title screen navigation. I'm using the "dotted-square-that-corresponds-to directions" type selector for it now, mostly since I added...
  • An actual credits screen. No longer do you have to see the massive red "#MadeWithFusion" box on the title.
  • Slightly lowered the right side of the roof in Napa Castle. Helps you see where you are if you manage to get up there.

Bug/Error Fixes:

  • Fixed which continue theme plays for which soundtrack. 0.0.0 had them switched by accident.
  • Star Coin progress will now be properly reset when reloading a stage in some instances.
  • Fixed a broken mechanic in Napa Castle.
  • Stage music will no longer resume while invincible when pausing and unpausing.
